Leave a gift in your Will

What will you be remembered for?

Remember A Charity Week takes place from 7–13 September 2026, and Humanimal Trust is proud to be joining almost 200 charities taking part in this year’s campaign.

Legacy isn’t simply about leaving money behind. It can be about the values we hold, the causes we care about and the difference we want to make. For some, that might mean supporting a charity whose work has touched their lives; for others, it could be about helping to create a better future for people, animals and the planet.

At Humanimal Trust, we’re building a future where human and animal health are recognised as interconnected, and where working together across human and veterinary medicine is considered the norm – so that all species can benefit from medical advances at the same time. A gift in your Will is one way to help us continue that work and support the development of One Medicine for generations to come.

Legacies are such an important source of income for charities, helping organisations plan for the future, to remain sustainable, and continue their work for years to come. Every gift, whatever its size, can make a meaningful difference. These donations have a huge impact, and some charities simply wouldn’t be able to exist without such gifts.

Remember A Charity Week is a good opportunity to think about what matters to you and the legacy you would like to leave – and to make sure your wishes are reflected in your Will.

Following Remember A Charity Week, we’ll be hosting a free webinar on Will Writing, Inheritance Tax and the 2027 Changes . The session will provide practical information to help you understand what you need to consider when making or updating your Will, including the potential impact of the upcoming changes. You can find more details below, where you can also download our Legacy Guide, and access Kwil’s free Will writing service.

Free Webinar: Will Writing, Inheritance Tax and the 2027 Changes

Tuesday 20 October 2026 | 11am | Free Online Webinar | 60 minutes

Planning for the future can feel daunting, but having an up-to-date Will is one of the most important steps you can take to protect the people and causes you care about.

Join Humanimal Trust and guest presenter Paul Stanford, founder of Stanford Legal Services, full member of STEP and Regional Chairperson for the Society of Will Writers, for a free, informative webinar designed to help you understand the essentials of Will writing, upcoming changes to Inheritance Tax from April 2027, and how charitable giving can form part of your legacy.

Whether you’ve already written a Will, are thinking about making one for the first time, or simply want to understand how the upcoming tax changes may affect you, this webinar will provide practical guidance in plain English.

What you’ll learn

During this one-hour webinar, we’ll cover:

  • Why having a valid, up-to-date Will is so important.
  • The role of executors and guardians.
  • How Inheritance Tax works and the reliefs that may be available.
  • The planned Inheritance Tax changes coming into effect from April 2027 and who they could affect.
  • Why it’s important to review your Will and pension nominations regularly.
  • How leaving a gift to charity in your Will could create a lasting impact while potentially reducing the amount of Inheritance Tax payable on your estate.
  • How gifts in Wills help Humanimal Trust fund pioneering One Medicine research that benefits both people and animals.

Why attend?

This webinar is designed to help you make informed decisions about your future.

You’ll have the opportunity to hear from an experienced Will-writing professional, ask your questions during a live Q&A session, and receive practical information you can discuss further with your own solicitor or financial adviser.

Important information

This webinar provides general information only and should not be relied upon as legal, tax or financial advice. Individual circumstances vary, and you should seek advice from a qualified solicitor or financial adviser before making decisions about your estate.

A gift in your Will can make a huge difference to our work promoting a credible vision of hope for the future, a world where both humans and animals have better opportunities to benefit equally and at the same time from medical progress because vets, doctors and researchers routinely collaborate and share.

  • By supporting One Medicine, your gift will support the development of treatments for conditions that affect individuals across species, not just humans, and in a way that does not involve experimental animal testing.
  • Your legacy will support our work to help improve quality of life, as well as saving lives of both humans and other animals, working to help one day make experimental animal testing obsolete.
  • By remembering Humanimal Trust in your Will, you can leave a lasting legacy to both humans and animals alike – help us save time, save money, and save lives.
