This ground-breaking documentary is the first episode in a series that will follow the training of a student to a qualified veterinarian or DVM, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
This episode features the SynDaver company’s range of models that are used in place of real animals and can replicate all aspects of a line patient as students develop the core surgical skills and the experience from practicing these core techniques before they must perform them on a live patient in the real world.
This video includes the full episode of the documentary and a Q&A Dr Galina Hayes from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine who features in the documentary. Dr Hayes is joined by Tom Ewing and Calisse Revilla from SynDaver who manufacture the models used throughout the documentary.
