Dr James Yeates PhD MBA FRCVS

Dr James Yeates is the CEO of the World Federation for Animals. He has over a decade of experience in advocacy for animal welfare and was previously the CEO of Cats Protection. He is a member of the Scottish Government Animal Welfare Commission and DEFRA Animal Welfare Committee,. 

Dr Yeates trained as a veterinarian and spent 5 years at RSPCA as the Chief Veterinary Officer. 

He is a prominent member of the animal-care sector, animal welfare social enterprise and the veterinary profession.

He is a pioneer within the animal welfare and protection movement.
