Two new webinars announced for our One Medicine series

We’re pleased to announce two new additions to our One Medicine webinar series this May, continuing our mission to explore how collaboration between human and veterinary medicine can improve outcomes across species.

Webinar 1: Shared Species, Shared Biology

The first session, “Shared Species, Shared Biology,” on Friday 8 May, will be delivered by Alan Bashforth, Director of Leucillin. Drawing on his experience developing a product licensed for both human and animal use, Alan will share practical insights into the biological similarities between species, how common skin conditions affect both humans and animals, and what this means for shared treatment approaches. He will also reflect on the regulatory challenges involved in bringing products to market across both sectors.

Webinar 2: Making Cancer Care Kinder

Our second webinar, “Making Cancer Care Kinder,” on Thursday 28 May, will be led by Professor Clare Knottenbelt. This session will explore innovations in cancer care, focusing on how a more compassionate, patient-centred approach can benefit both human and veterinary oncology, improving quality of life alongside clinical outcomes.

Why the One Medicine approach matters
