Virtual Pet Show
Their love supports our wellbeing. Our work supports theirs.
Our 2025 Virtual Pet Show is now closed to entries.
The Humanimal Trust Virtual Pet Show is a heart-warming online event that celebrates the incredible connection we share with our companion animals.
Whether furry, feathered, hairy or scaled, every animal has a story. This unique initiative offers animal guardians across the globe a chance to showcase their beloved companions and share the powerful ways they support each other’s wellbeing.
The Virtual Pet Show also serves a greater purpose – helping to fund vital research that benefits both human and animal patients, advancing the Trust’s mission to drive One Medicine.

Best Dog - Orla

Orla is a once in a lifetime dog who has shown me through her unconditional love for everyone she meets that we can make a positive difference together. She has changed 100’s of lives for the better by donating blood to save 56 dogs lives, being a therapy dog for SEN children and fundraising for many charities. She has shown me how to give and love unconditionally, not judge and live in the moment. She is my hero and my world is a better place with her in it.

Best Cat - Serena

This is Serena.
She hates people. Fact.
She hates diets. Fact
She would prefer if you don’t touch her. Fact
She is a star… and I love her

Best Rescue - Vespa

We adopted our tiny tornado, Vespa in October 2024 and she has brought so much sunshine into our lives following the loss of our beloved blind rescue lurcher, Scout in January 2024. Vespa has been busy repairing the cracks in our hearts with her cheeky ways. We were advised that at only one year old, Vespa hadn’t experienced a lot of the outside world. I suffer from severe social anxiety and depression and so together we are navigating our way through a sometimes scary world.

Best Equine - Tahlia

For thirty-four years, Tahlia has walked beside me—a quiet, steadfast friend whose presence has lit every season of my life. I was fourteen when she was born, and together we have grown older, our stories woven into one another like strands of the same thread. I look at her and see the truest gift I have ever been given: a soul of grace, gentleness and loyalty who has made my life immeasurably richer simply sharing it with me.

Best Small Animal - Malibu

We adopted Malibu (on the right) a year ago from SSPCA to be a companion to Hamish who was then 11 years old and had just lost his second companion. We took Malibu as she was the oldest rabbit in the animal home and therefore the hardest to place as there were a lot of young bunnies needing homes. Hamish and Malibu are inseparable. You are never too old!

Best Golden Oldie - Pepper

Best equine and golden oldies (he is 29). It is difficult to describe everything Pepper does for me. He has been there for me since I was 15. He has kept me going when at times my jobs have a been a bit rubbish, he helped me meet my husband and came to our wedding. Every day he makes me smile, and he brightens the days of complete strangers via his social media. I’m lucky to have him. I do my best to give him the best life possible, although he thinks I need more practice filling up feed buckets.
