Fundraising for us

Humanimal Trust couldn't do what we do without the fundraising efforts of our supporters.

We are so grateful to the people who take the time to help us raise the funds we need to bring about the change we so passionately believe in for a world with One Medicine. Every penny raised will help us towards creating a world where both humans and animals have better opportunities to benefit equitably from medical progress because vets, doctors and researchers routinely collaborate and share.

We have lots of ideas on our challenge events page. Or why not take part in our 'Paws for a Picnic' fundraising activity?

If you have an idea already, you can build your own Fundraising Page via Enthuse.

Are you wanting to collect money for Humanimal Trust? Great! We just need to make you aware of the following…

Public collections

You must have a licence from your local authority to collect funds in public places. You can apply for this on behalf of the charity, Some areas have a very limited number of licences to issue, so it’s best to ask us first.

Collections often have a minimum 28 day application timeline to process and each council will have different rules and regulations - Please do check directly with your local council for further details. England and Wales - Please contact your local authority to find out more. Scottish residents should contact their local authority here. Northern Ireland residents should contact the Police Service of Northern Ireland here.

If you are collecting on private property you will need written permission from the landowner or manager. If you hold a collection for Humanimal Trust without a licence or proper permission, it may result in the charity losing future opportunities to collect donations in these places.

Collecting door-to-door

You are not allowed to collect funds by going door-to-door, even if you know them. The Fundraising Regulator has strict guidelines on who is able to carry out this type of fundraising.

For more information, please visit the Chartered Institute of Fundraising website or contact us at info@humanimaltrust.org.uk
