New Vacancy - Chair of Humanimal Trust’s Science Committee
Humanimal Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for suitable candidates to apply for the position of the Chair of Humanimal Trust’s Science Committee.
About the Science Committee
Humanimal Trust funds research which aims to deliver the objectives of the Trust and result in a better understanding and implementation of One Medicine. Specifically, we aim to support multidisciplinary projects that can drive forward collaborative research in a wide range of clinical areas relevant to One Medicine, while also promoting the One Medicine concept nationally and internationally.
The Humanimal Trust Science Committee assists Humanimal Trust in delivering these key strategic objectives. All members of the Committee are independent advisors requested to provide independent advice.
Responsibilities and Commitments of the Chair
The Chair of the Committee works closely with Committee members. The Chair is supported by the Research Manager to deliver the objectives of the Committee and prepare reports to update the Humanimal Trust Board of Trustees on activities proposed and undertaken by the Committee.
The Committee meets online 4 times per year. Other commitments outside of these meetings may include reviewing documentation, promoting the work of Humanimal Trust and its objectives, contributing to strategic development around funding schemes, reviewing funding applications and associated activities.
Total time commitment is currently around 5 or 6 hours per month, plus 1.5 hours for Science Committee meetings 4 times per year.
Who are we looking for?
Our main requirement is that the Chair is committed to Humanimal Trust’s overall purpose and vision.
We also envisage that the Chair of the Science Committee will have a relevant scientific background that lends itself to promoting the work of Humanimal Trust, and that enables good understanding of all related activities.

New Vacancy - Members of Humanimal Trust’s Science Committee
Humanimal Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for suitable candidates to apply to join the Humanimal Trust’s Science Committee. We are especially looking for candidates who have experience in drug development, but other candidates with a medical and/or veterinary background are welcome to apply.
Aim of the Science Committee
Humanimal Trust funds research which aims to deliver the objectives of the Trust and result in a better understanding and implementation of One Medicine. Specifically, we aim to support multidisciplinary projects which can drive forward collaborative research in a wide range of clinical areas relevant to One Medicine, while also promoting the One Medicine concept nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities and Commitments of the Members
All members of the Committee work closely with other members and the Chair of the Committee, with support from the Research Manager, to deliver the objectives of the Committee and to promote the work of Humanimal Trust.
The Committee meets 4 times per year for 1.5 hours. There are also some commitments outside of the meetings, which include reviewing documentation, promoting the work of Humanimal Trust and its objectives, contributing to strategic development around funding schemes, reviewing funding applications and associated activities. Maximum expected commitment per year is up to 20 hours.
All members of the Committee act in a volunteer expert capacity with no renumeration, however reasonable travel costs will be paid, should this be required. Most meetings take place virtually as current members are located in a wide range of global locations.
