Dr Matt Morgan presents copies of 'Humanimal' to Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice

Our Patron, Dr Matt Morgan, visited Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice in South Wales yesterday (27 March) to donate copies of Humanimal: Incredible Ways Animals Are Just Like Us!

This was all thanks to our supporters who kindly donated to our recent 'Books for Christmas' appeal, enabling us to distribute copies of the book to children’s hospitals and hospices across the UK.

Dr Matt Morgan, said:“Visiting Hafan with Humanimal Trust today, and donating the wonderful book ‘Humanimal: Incredible Ways Animals Are Just Like Us!’ reminded me just how deeply words matter. They build bridges, connecting humans and animals, helping us see the beauty of our shared lives.

"Animals often become quiet heroes, providing comfort, companionship, and hope to children in their toughest moments. Working in intensive care medicine, I’ve seen first-hand how compassion spans species, healing hearts as well as bodies. The importance of this togetherness is why I named my own book ‘One Medicine’, why the work of Humanimal Trust is so important and why we truly are better when we care together not apart.”

Lynne Phelps, Head of Family Wellbeing and Outreach Services at Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice, said: “When a child’s life will be short, Hafan will walk alongside that family every step of the way, through life, death and beyond. The gift of Humanimal will give much pleasure to the children and young people we care for, and help to create treasured memories. Thank you to everyone at Humanimal Trust who contributed to this thoughtful donation.
