Humanimal Trust is delighted to welcome two new members to the team, Stephanie Borne, who joins the Board of Trustees, and Dr Tracey King, who joins the staff team heading up the Trust’s research and outreach activities.
Stephanie is currently Head of Digital Fundraising at the national homelessness charity, Shelter. Prior to that she held senior digital roles at Plan International, NSPCC, Wunderman and also headed her own consultancy, Swish Thinking and ecommerce venture, Blimey! boutique.
Although a digital specialist, following graduation from the Ecole Superieure de Gestion in Paris, Stephanie’s career started offline, so she is adept at connecting the two worlds and helping organisations to navigate the digital maze in a pragmatic way. She is part of #charitiesforum, working on ethics for the 4th industrial revolution.
Besides her digital expertise, Stephanie brings extensive experience in business, economics, marketing, child protection, girls’ rights, diversity and inclusion.
Tracey joined the Trust in August 2020, having previously worked as a scientific and technical adviser. She is a Chartered Scientist and her career background spans administration, laboratory and project management working for various sectors including the University of Oxford, local government and the BBC.
Her research background is in parasitology and she is considered a founder member of Cardiff University’s parasitology research group, CRIPES (Cardiff Research into Infection and Parasites in Ecological Systems). In addition, she holds a postgraduate certificate in clinical animal behaviour from the University of Lincoln. She is a member of the Royal Society of Biology and the Association of Research Managers and Administrators (ARMA).
Tracey is passionate about One Medicine and is committed to the goals of Humanimal Trust. She is also passionate about the power of outreach, loves to connect people together, and looks forward to meeting the One Medicine community via the Humanimal Hub.
